Here is the problem. We have a window that is dominant in a room and is not being used to its potential. In fact, the owner of the house is currently using two sheets to cover the window completely. So how do we fix this eye sore?
We came in and knowing that the owner is a single man, therefore we wanted to design a window treatment that would reflect his masculinity and turn the eye sore into a point of emphasis in the room. We decided to hang real wood blinds in a cherry stain to match his existing dark wood furniture. The addition of two blinds with a valence over the top of the window made an immediate impact on the room. Now, the living room bathes in sunlight from the fully open blinds during the day, and the blinds enable privacy at night when he doesn't want passer's by to look into the house.
The home owner was so impressed with our changes that he had additional wooden blinds placed throughout the entire house. They have really added a touch of sophistication to the windows and to the overall feel of the home in general. |
